decisions, decisions, decisions... too many choices :-s

So we started meeting with all of the sales consultants to start getting prices... let me tell you... this is where you start to separate the boys from the men. Honestly one thing that i found interesting is the lack of interest shown by some. I swear they look at you and think oh there is no way they will be building. The first question they always ask is(if they can be bothered to get to this point) is "do you have a block" and then they get this surprised look when you say yeah.

I managed to knock out Sekisui pretty quickly. I loved the design but it was going to be way too difficult to get a bidet into the house (remember the non-negotiable??) They couldnt even give me a price or tell me whether they could do it or not.

Coral was soon after that as the actual design of the house just didnt end up being what we wanted.

This left Allworth, Beechwood and Mojo. To be honest - i LOVED the Allworth Newbury display at Woongarrah. I would have moved into there in a heartbeat and the layout worked perfectly for adding a bidet into the ensuite. However trying to get a price indication and tender out of the sales rep was like trying to draw blood out of a stone. I had requested a tender a week before the other 2 and the other two had tenders back to me within a week while i went back after 3 weeks and still had no tender. I think it took 4 weeks for it and then i was pressured into paying a deposit on the spot and price lock guarantee. I was quite open throughout the process that i was comparing builders so that tactic turned me right off.

So this left Beechwood and Mojo.

To be honest, This was hard. We ended up changing from the 4 bed to the 5 bed with Beechwood as this gave us a room Lorenzo could dedicate to his fish... yep thats right... Lorenzo gets his fish room.

So now we are comparing the following:

Beechwood:

And...

Mojo:

So as you can see...With the Mojo home we had to make quite a few modifications to make it work for us whereas the Beechwood home we really only modified the bathrooms. In the end it came down to the location of the master bedroom and the functionality of the 5th room (bedroom or in Mojo's case the children's activity)

So the winner is...
